How long do infections usually last ?
- For flu and colds you should count on two weeks.
- Bronchitis (bronchiolitis in children) lasts three weeks.
- Children can suffer from earache or a throat infection for up to a week.
- Symptoms of non-specific respiratory infections can last for two weeks.
If symptoms last longer than normal, get worse, or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor or ask for advice. You should also do this in the event of uncertainty.
