How long do infections usually last ?

  • For flu and colds you should count on two weeks.
  • Bronchitis (bronchiolitis in children) lasts three weeks.
  • Children can suffer from earache or a throat infection for up to a week.
  • Symptoms of non-specific respiratory infections can last for two weeks.

If symptoms last longer than normal, get worse, or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor or ask for advice. You should also do this in the event of uncertainty.
